Performance where it counts.

Constructed of polyamide 6.6 with glass fibers on all three axes, Bautec strut delivers unmatched thermal, structural and durability performance. Its PA66GF composition creates a highly effective thermal barrier that helps make our strut insulate 500-times better than aluminum. Featuring depths ranging from less than half an inch to over three inches, aluminum separation can be achieved to lower conductivity thus reducing thermal transfer and U-factors while increasing condensation resistance. And, since the bond between Bautec strut and the aluminum is a true mechanical connection, it can carry the loads necessary to meet the latest building codes.

It’s not your average thermal break system.

Because it expands and contracts at a rate similar to aluminum, our strut can ensure long-term durability and water-tightness in a properly assembled profile – a feature few of our competitors can claim. Plus, it resists heat distortion and stands up to most of the chemicals used in the construction industry so its integrity is not sacrificed in the field. In fact, fenestration products that utilize Bautec strut have undergone and passed a barrage of independent tests ranging from air, water and structural to impact, blast resistance and thermal performance to be certified to AAMA and ASTM standards.

Design how you want.

Standard and custom profiles. With over 200 standard profiles, it’s easier than ever to start benefiting from the structural and thermal advantages Bautec strut delivers. And, with standard products ranging from 12mm flat profiles to varying shapes exceeding 42mm, designing with our strut allows unmatched system flexibility. Should any of these standard profiles not satisfy your requirements, our engineers can work with your design team to create a custom profile that supports your specific design objectives. Glue wire is available for applications where powder coating is used.

Permanent laser marking can also be added to the profiles for product, project or manufacturer-specific purposes such as batch tracking, quality control and warranty verification.

Finishing options.

Since interior and exterior components can be finished before assembly, two-toned designs can be achieved easily and efficiently. This unique opportunity gives users the flexibility to apply finishes that best meet their cost and performance needs.

Design flexibility

You can get any profile in custom ordered pre-cut lengths of 8 to 30 feet to suit your individual project needs. Most flats and C shapes (offsets) are also available in coils up to 1500 feet which offer advantages including lower shipping costs, reduced inventory and scrap, and saved floor space and material handling labor.
